After fronting one of the most successful fiddle acts in the
world, Lynae and Denis Dufresne toured the country with some of the biggest
names in Canadian music. In 2005, they took time off the road to settle in
Calgary, AB. They quickly became antsy and formed PEAR.
With Lynae as the songstress and Denis as the musical
backbone, PEAR quickly developed a grassroots following in both Canada and the
US. Having thrilled festival goers around the world, PEAR has played the stages
of The Wolftrap Music Festival (USA), Cropedy Festival (UK), in Canada; Country
Music Week, Big Valley Jamboree, PNE Festival, Merritt Mountain Music Fest,
Filberg Festival and in Denmark; Skagen Festival, Horsens Festival, Midtfyns
Festival, Tonder Festival.
PEAR and Chronograph Records are thrilled to announce the
much anticipated release of their first, full length, studio album: Sweet N
Gritty. This debut features collaborations with a few musical heroes and a
number of good friends and was produced on Nashville’s famed Music Row by Noah
Gordon. "It's our personalities, our attitude, our sound. Nothing
describes us better than this!" says Denis.
